Communion and Community

This Easter season gave Família em Cristo a meaningful opportunity to remember, celebrate, and serve.
During our special Easter communion, we gathered around the table to remember the death and resurrection of Jesus. Communion always brings us back to the center of our faith: Christ gave himself for us, Christ was raised, and because of Him we live with hope.
The song in the video was one we sang that night. Its called Da Vida Melhor by Projeto Solo
We also had a special opportunity to serve children from a local community and the scout troop Natalia recently joined. Her move to this new troop has placed us in an area where many of the kids have far fewer opportunities, and it has been a blessing to get to know the leaders, the children, and their community.
We used resurrection eggs to walk through the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection. Each egg represented an important part of the story. To our surprise, some of the kids asked why there were only twelve eggs. They were right—there is so much more to the story than we were able to include.
What a great day to share the hope of Jesus in such a simple and meaningful way.
Here's a quick video to give an idea of what the experience was like.
For us, moments like this connect directly to our discipleship commitment of Serviço. We want to be a church that remembers Jesus deeply and moves toward others with practical love.
